Earlobe Repairs
Earlobes are a relatively delicate part of the ear and can be easily stretched, torn, or damaged. Wearing heavy earrings over time can lead to a stretched out lobe and larger ear piercing, making it difficult for earrings to sit properly or for the earlobe to look as small as desired. Completely torn earlobes may be due to a traumatic injury.
Earlobe repair is a procedure Dr. Dolev performs in the office with local anesthesia and is minimally invasive. Small sutures are used to realign the earlobe edges and repair any damage or tears. Sutures are generally removed 7-10 days later. And ears can be safely re-pierced after the area has healed completely.
